Tree of Memories grows in popularity

Families and individuals who have lost loved ones are being encouraged by Kirklees funeral directors, Eric F Box, to remember them this Christmas time by placing a special message on a Tree of Memories.

The Tree of Memories is in it's third year at the firm's chapel of rest on Bradford Road, Dewsbury. However, for Christmas 2007 a total of three trees will be in place, with two at the firm's premises in Dewsbury and one at Box's premises in Station Road, Ossett.

"Over the years, hundreds of people have taken the opportunity to add individual messages to our Tree of Memories, in celebration of the lives of loved ones who have passed away and it's for that reason that this year, we're adding a further tree at our reception on Bradford Road and one at our office on Station Road," explained Polly Smith, funeral director and grief counsellor at Eric F Box.

While those families and individuals who have used the services of Eric F Box in the past year will receive a special tree label through the post, which they can fill in with a message to be hung on the tree, the opportunity to leave a message is open to anyone who wishes to remember loved ones at what can be a very difficult time of the year for many.

"We look forward to seeing anyone who wishes to leave a memory on one of our trees," said Polly. There is no charge for this service and anyone wanting a label for their own message just needs to call the offices of Eric F Box Funeral Directors on 01924 465402 and request one.
